About the Artist

Patricia Ingram (Pam) received her first camera at the age of 9 and immediately began to document the lives of the people around her. Soon she realized that she was trying to freeze relationships on film to enjoy over time. Her continuing goal is to capture photographically the depth of the connection between people, young and old, to convey their devotion to, and delight in, one another. As the mother of four, Pam knows how to enter into the world of young children with her camera in an unobtrusive way to create photographic images that convey a unique expression of the child. Catching their unposed, uncoached responses on film is something she loves to do.

Pam is an award-winning photographic artist. Her images have received merits and awards in print competitions on the local level with Triangle Institute of Professional Photography as well as the international level with Professional Photographers of America (PPA). Besides being recognized among her peers, countless individuals and families have experienced her caring demeanor and unique artistry in creating their lifelong treasures. Still she strives to learn more, constantly honing her skills by competing and studying under accomplished and recognized master photographers. Viewing her work as an exciting challenge, a love of art, and a display of relationship, Pam continues to work towards her goal of earning the degree of “Master of Photography” through the PPA.

She earned a Bachelors of Arts in English from Macalester College in St. Paul, MN and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Pam has been married to her husband, Michael, for more than two decades. They have four children: Lauren, Erin, Meghan and Ryan.
